Texas A&M University Kingsville to host book release for Carrington Firmin

The University of Texas at San Antonio Center for Military Affiliated Students is proud to announce that UTSA Military Liaison and retired USAF colonel Lisa Carrington Firmin recently published the stories of 14 veterans and active-duty service members who experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, and misogyny, from the Vietnam era to present, on the anniversary of the murder of US Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén at Fort Hood. In addition to the release of Col (Retired) Firmin’s book, and as part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, UTSA will be hosting an event on 28 APR 2022 titled Courageous Conversations designed to raise awareness about culture, diversity, discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault in the military.
